Water and sewerage connections

Water connection is an individual construction including communication pipe witch runs between the water main pipe and the water meter of the house, or if any water meter has not been fitted, the stop tap inside the building or land connected. The branch and stop valve are parts of water main pipe.

Sewerage connection is an individual construction including communication pipe leading from the outlet of sewers inside the house or the outlet of drainage pipeline of a land to the sewerage system inlet. Water supply and sewerage connections are the customer’s (owner of the house or land connected to the water and sewerage networks) responsibility, unless the contrary is proved.

New connections

How to proceed if you wish to make a connection to a public water or sewerage network within the Vodakva region.

1. Connection points

Contact our technical department which will provide you with information relating to the available capacity in the local water and sewerage network (if these have been taken care of by Vodakva) and identify possible connection points.

2. Project documents

Appoint a contractor to produce design (for this you will need a building consent issued by regional authority). Then submit all project documents to our technical department, which will approve technical aspects of proposed works and regulate building works conditions. You will find in this approval also contacts to other operations.

3. Building works

Connections can be made by your choice of relevant operations center (other contacts) or any other qualified contractor, with respect to approved technical conditions. However Vodakva (relevant operations center) must be informed about works, inspect the connection (trace, laying the pipe work, pack of pipes, material) and fit the water meter.
