Investment program

In the area operated by Vodakva a unique system of water supply and sewerage systems management is used. This system is based on close cooperation between the supplier (Vodakva) and the owner of water assets (Water Management Association of West Bohemia Region), as main shareholder, and on solidarity of municipalities, members of the Association.

This system of „public service under public control“ enables not only to control and operate municipal water infrastructure, but also to implement such development projects that cannot be covered by municipalities' budget. Thanks to municipalities' investment solidarity, sufficient financial resources are generated for large improvement programs that enable to extend and built regional water supply systems and to built new sewer systems with a sewage treatment plant treating wastewater from a number of municipalities.

Vodakva along with the Water Management Association of West Bohemia Region aim to realize important regional investment projects. The investment in water utilities would create conditions for regional development and also would improve the quality of drinking water supply and wastewater treatment. This demonstrates i.e. intensive policy that Vodakva has implemented in generating important financial resources for improvement programs and responsible work of the company in engineering and project studies.

In seventeen years, since the system was implemented, the total property of the Water Management Association of West Bohemia Region has grown from CZK 1,2 billion to CZK 5,1 billion.
